AB 1231 Press Conference and Lobby Day
Join us on Monday, August 25 at 10:00 AM on the West Steps of the State Capitol in Sacramento as we rally in support of AB 1231: The Safer Communities through Opportunities Act.
This bill is nearing the finish line in the Senate, and we need your voice now more than ever. AB 1231 gives judges the discretion to divert people charged with low-level felonies into community-based programs like job training and outpatient treatment instead of prison. It’s a smart, compassionate step toward safer, more stable communities. Let’s show lawmakers the strength of our coalition and demand meaningful alternatives to incarceration.
